Question: Are you married or single?
Answer: No gay person outside Massachusetts in America can answer that because we have no right to marry and so the distinction is meaningless. And yet, I am asked it on almost every official form I have to fill in. I refuse. I write in "NO RIGHT TO MARRY". I hope others who are treated similarly as nonpersons can do the same.
